YU Medical Center Director Kim Sung-ho (57) donated 100 million KRW as development funds to YU.
In the afternoon of the 14th, Director Kim Sung-ho met with YU President Sur Gil-soo to donate 100 million KRW for development funds of the medical school.
Mr. Kim said, “I always wanted to contribute to my alma mater. I am happy that I was able to put into practice what I always had in mind.” He added, “I hope that my juniors, who are also my students, will be able to study in a better environment and become talented doctors. In addition to the development fund, I will pass on all my knowledge at the college podium and at hospitals.”

Mr. Kim Sung-ho has always been interested in social contribution activities and improving the welfare of the community. At a wedding of his child recently, he received 700kg of rice instead of flowers and donated it to low-income families.
Mr. Kim was from the YU Medical School class of ‘81 and he majored in neurosurgery. He was appointed as a professor at the YU Medical School in March of 1996. He served as a secretary general and planning and adjustment office chief at the YU Medical Center, and has been serving as the director of the YU Medical School since February 2019.
