Recent Progress in Printed and Flexible Electronics
Flexible and printed electronics with soft materials are an attractive approach for achieving free-form factor and low-cost for potential electronic applications. In order to manufacture flexible electronic products in large quantities, the device performance, reliability and manufacturing cost must be competitive as well. In this presentation we will report on recent progress and current issues of printed and flexible electronics as well as other components for various applications, provide an overview of their materials, devices, processes and discuss the status of commercialization in flexible display, flexible solar cell and other flexible electronic applications. Although platforms are required for various possible applications of flexible electronics, it is very likely that the combination of conventional and novel technology will launch a new market in the near future.
